Steve Madden Intyce heel question

I bought the Steve Madden Intyce boots from Nordstrom a little before Christmas. I've worn them maybe 5 or 6 times since I got them. The rubber on the back of the heel is already worn down to the leather. It's like this tiny sliver of rubber to begin with and there isn't much room for wear. So annoying!  Anyone else have this happen and just let them get more worn or did you put new soles on them? Not sure what my options are at Nordies. Looks like they don't have my size available online any more or in store to get them replaced. Thanks!

Re: Steve Madden Intyce heel question

  • maybe they can help you get them mended?
  • I've had mine since 2008 and I've had them resoled once and am close to doing it again. They definitely wear down, but not after 5-6 wears. I'm wondering if they started putting cheaper soles on there when they got so popular. You should definitely take them into Nordstorm or even just bring them to a cobbler. I want to say it was $20 to get the boots conditioned, cleaned and resoled, which may end up being a better sole than you got on there in the first place.

  • I'm guessing you're right about the cheap soles. I'll take them into Nordie's and have them resole with something thicker before the leather gets torn up. It couldn't hurt anyway.
