Of course, I'm not a runner, but...
We have a couple of locations of Performance, which is a national cycling store chain. The prices are good, the product selection is ok (mostly lower end/middle of the road stuff), but the employees usually know NOTHING about bikes. I once asked for a certain tire size, which is standard for mountain bikes. The employee looked at me like I had 2 heads. Finally I just asked where the tires were. I wonder if RR Sports will be like this. I still shop at my local bike shops. I walk in, they know my name, know what I ride, what I like, etc. Atlanta is a large city and can support multiple formats for retail stores (LBS/LRS vs. national chain). I think it's good to have a choice.
At the same time, I think Performance (and to a lesser extent our REI stores) keep prices at the bike shops down and more affordable for the average person that doesn't receive a team discount.
(REI falls into a different category even though they are a large retailer. I find that their employees ride and are knowledgeable about bikes.)

My Nest Bio and Cycling Advice
My experience with the RRS here in Columbus is that the employees usually know what they're talking about-meaning any questions I've had (which admittedly are few and far between, I tend to go in to any running store knowing what I'm looking for otherwise I end up buying half the damn store) have been answered easily. What I really like about RRS is their store brand line of running gear-tops, shorts/capris/pants/tights/etc, bras, socks, and the like. It's not as expensive as the Nike or Brooks gear that I also love, and it holds up just as well in my experience.
Plus, its 10 minutes from my house. Which helps
