scrunchies aren't coming back are they?

I work in retail in a very affluent area.  Most of our customer base is 'trophy wives' they come into the store all decked out in fancy designer clothes.  As of late I have noticed that some of them are starting to rock scrunchies.  Please, please tell me there is an explaination for this other then they are coming back 'in'.

  • Dear God, I hope not!
  • I have been having this same fear... They keep popping up in stores. =(

  • Even if they are coming back, you don't have to participate :-)

    I know I won't be, but I haven't noticed them.

  • After googling scrunchies to reminisce days of old I happened upon american apparel's website and they have a lovely array of about 30 scrunchies to chose from. Yikes!

  • They may just never gave up on them!!! My MIL still wears them and thinks it avoids breaking her hair!! I gave her one of my clear elastics from sephora and she tried them on and said she liked them, but then went back to wearing her scrunchy again! this is a woman who only wear st. john suits and ysl shoes!!

I will buy that for older women.  However, I have seen women around my age (late 20s- early 30s) wearing them recently.
