Help me find the promised land

I keep seeing posts about people seeing the Hunger Games in VIP theatres where they can bring wine or get served drinks.  I'm Googling furiously to no avail.  What are these places called!?  I'm 20 minutes from Center City Philly don't tell me there isn't one close to me!

Re: Help me find the promised land

  • The ones I know of near me are really random. They shut down the Imax at the Fernbank museum a couple times a month and do movies & martinis, for instance. Though, if there's a specific neighborhood near you that's particularly upscale, that's a good place to start. They have some in Buckhead, for instance, I believe.

I can't find any place like that around me.  :(

  • In MA they are called "Premium Theaters"  or over 21 theaters I believe.  Good luck - we have one, but the cost is absurd enough we don't go more than once every year max!

Hm, my parents have a house up on Cape Cod so I might be able to swing a trip out to one of these over the summer.  I'll google once I'm not at work.  "Premium Theatres" sounds like something my work filter might ding!

  • There's a theater near where I live that has 2 rooms that serve wine and beer.

The wine is served in these little boxes that look like juice boxes, complete with sippy straw. Hilarious!
