My skin has recently decided it is 15 again and I am having trouble deciding which products to change and which to keep given my new skin. I am having t zone breakouts, and also t zone oily-ness by the end of the day. My cheeks are dry however. This is my current regiment:
Face Wash: bliss fabulous foaming face wash, using a clarsonic one of the two times I wash my face(evenings). Once in a blue moon I also use fresh strawberry face mask/scrub but maybe 2x a month.
Face Lotion: bliss with SPF 15
Makeup: bare escentuals mineral makeup, including the heal and conceal which I newly added after I started breaking out. I also clean my brushes regularly.
Spot treatment: bliss no zit Sherlock. Only use when needed since I sometimes find using spot treatments can make my skin more oily.
Also I used to use a makeup primer but was finding it was causing breakouts.
Any suggestions on what parts of my regiment I should change or keep? I prefer sephora products since its close and easy.
Re: Help me pick the right skin products
Using your Clarisonic daily + a foaming facewash could be what is drying out your cheeks, and your t-zone may have become oily in response to the same thing, and is now over producing oil.
I'd cut the Clarisonic to just a few times a week, and if your skin is still bothering you, maybe switch to a cream cleanser until things are back to normal.
This could work. Do you think this would still be true even if I was using this cleansing system for much longer than I have had the skin issues?
Also do you recommend a specific cream cleanser? Thank you!!

I LOVE CeraVe, and Cetaphil is my second choice. I also have combination skin, with a very oily t-zone and dry cheeks. CeraVe is nice and moisturizing for my cheeks but still removes all of the oil and gets my face clean.
I've never heard of "No Zit Sherlock" and that name cracks me up.
I used cetaphil in high school and college when I had breakouts so that's a good suggestion. I will check out CeraVe too, is this from drugstores? Thank you!
I also think the no zit Sherlock is hilarious. It may have been one of the reasons I tried it in the first place, but it also is a spot treatment that doesn't smell of chemicals so I like that too. Plus I just overall have an addiction to all things Bliss.
Yeah, you can get CeraVe at the drugstore. It really feels and looks nearly identical to Cetaphil, but I've read that since it's a newer product, the ingredients are in line with more up to date skincare research and are better for the skin. I have no clue if this is true, though!
If you do go with Cetaphil, be sure to get the moisturizing one. I once made the mistake of buying the regular cleanser, which was clear and gel like, and dried out my cheeks. I thought that Cetaphil must have changed their formula, but it turns out that they offer two different products that come in very similar bottles - the regular cleanser and the moisturizing one. I might be the only person who didn't know this, but I thought I'd let you know just in case!
Another product that some people on here rave about is Philosophy Purity Made Simple, but I prefer to stick to drug store products when I can find something that I like that works for me. It might be a good option if you aren't cheap like me
It could be that the long-term usage is finally catching up to your skin. I was on a similar regimen, and my aesthetician about died when she found out. She basically forbade me from using my Clarisonic for like a month, lol. I had developed a few dry patches, and stopping with the Clarisonic definitely helped. I only use mine a few times a month now.
I don't have any recs for a cream cleanser because I've never used one, but it sounds like PP mentioned a few popular ones. Good luck!
