What are you doing this weekend?
Plans? Do you make a big deal out of Easter? Do you have a long weekend.
This day is literally crawling by at a snail's pace.
Re: What are you doing this weekend?
OMG I totally agree with you on the day going by slowly!
Friday night I think we'll stay in and watch movies and do a bunch of sex. Saturday we may or may not look at houses (eek) and then we have to go to a banquet for the non-profit that H is on the Board of Directors for. That should be fun actually.
Sunday AM I am teaching yoga (yay) and then we'll probably drink a bunch of wine...H and I have skipped Easter with our families like 4 years in a row - we aren't religious and neither are our fams, so it just seems silly to make a big deal out of it because of "tradition". So we're just getting together with another couple - the big debate is what to make for dinner - I say seafood paella and the other wife says lamb. Either way it'll be delish.
Original plan: Drive down to a town in the Inner Banks and spend the day picnicing and window shopping.
New plan: Work. I also have a hair appointment, which I'm hoping I get to keep.
I work tomorrow. Yay. I think I'll run to the mall at lunch and get new towels for the kitchen.
Saturday - new appliances coming for the kitchen. The delivery guys will call Saturday morning to confirm the time they'll be there so basically, I'm tied to the house all day. However... I get a fridge that is not from 1985 and isn't 3 sizes too small for the frige hole, a dishwasher that actually works and is much quieter than the current 85 db beast from 1990, and a new stove that doesn't have those goddamn coil things (also from 1990). I predict my electric bill will be going down. We already had the new microwave installed last weekend. Once the appliances are in, there are some paint touch-ups that need to be done and then the kitchen is finally finished!!11!!1
Sunday - Ick. I hate holidays. We're not religious, so we do the secular version of holidays. I know my dad is having an egg hunt, but he hasn't called us with the time yet. H's parents want us to go over there for food, which always results in me sitting on the schitter for a few hours. My mom is making dinner and offered to set a place for us or she'll just bring us leftovers. I'm thinking Sunday is going to suck.

We're both home on Friday and the weather is supposed to be nice, so we're thinking of getting a mini project done on the house, like painting the garage doors or the porch. I know...so exciting!
Other than that, this weekend will involve lots of nice food and wine and hopefully more time outdoors. That's about it, really.
Sooo slow! And I'm hungry.
Friday I'll probably stay up late with the H and dye some eggs. Saturday we are going to my parents for Easter dinner and basket exchange. Sunday morning we will do brunch and baskets. Sunday evening we are going to the great-aunt IL's for Easter dinner, and then to the ILs for baskets.
That's right, I will get three baskets for Easter.
Just because I like that sort of thing.
Tomorrow I'm probably working from home. Then we're getting together with friends to play Pathfinder.
Saturday we're out with the same group fo friends for a birthday.
Sunday there's a rumor we're going to H's aunt and uncle's house for Easter dinner although I've heard nothing about it. They're horrible at planning.
My parents are out of town (as usual for holidays) so I'm on horse duty all weekend. That means no sleeping in for me!
We're camping in the mountains, leaving tomorrow and coming back on Sunday. Maybe some wineries on the way and lots of hiking. I can't wait to have a mini vacation.
That sounds amazing. Have fun!
Friday, going to American Wedding. We both anticipate making fun of it the whole way through, but are also excited for the nostalgia factor.
Saturday, small road trip for Tarjay, mini-golf and this upscale bbq place that makes the best tri-tip I've ever had, ever.
Sunday, Skype with my mom's fam, since all of them will be at my parent's house for Easter. Not sure what else. Watch reruns of Archer?
All in all, a good weekend
Going out to a club tonight. Hanging out with a girlfriend tomorrow since we have the day off. Sometime this weekend I get to see the FWB.
This will be DS's first easter. So I am not making a big deal out of it. Plus, we are not Catholic so it would just be the social aspect of the holiday for us
Sounds ah-mazing! Have fun.
It's BIRTHDAY WEEKEND!
Tomorrow night we're going to The Cheesecake Factory and Sunday we're going to see Titanic 3D! I can't wait!
Currently Reading: Don Quixote by Miguel De Cervantes
Saturday I'm hoping to finish up my massive organization/cleaning the house project I started.
Sunday going to church with my parents early, then H and Toddler Malibu will join us at their house for brunch. My mom's making a French Toast bake I pinned on Pinterest. It looked good, hoping it's as good as it looks. We'll head over to his parents' later, I'm guessing. They're just going to be getting back from their month in Florida, so thinking they'll be tired and want to just hang out a little. If the weather holds up, we might have a bonfire later that night. We chopped a bunch of tree branches down a few weekends ago, and we need to burn that up soon.
This day is SO slow! The whole week really.
This weekend I have no idea. Presumably some Easter-y fun with the little dude.
We're invited to a birthday party on Sat. night but it's for the little dude's mom. I'm not sure I'm feeling THAT "let's all be friends" yet.
Have FUN! What area are you going to?
We fly into West Palm, going to Staurt, Orlando, ans Miami~
Im not looking forward to the heat.
Saturday we are flying to New Mexico to see H's family. I am super excited but a little nervous about flying with a toddler in our laps. This is our first time flying with him.
H and I don't celebrate easter but his family does, so we will be having a big GTG with aunts/uncles/cousins/etc. I am looking forward to that a lot because H's family is awesome.
And if a Cadbury Creme Egg should pass through my lips at any point, so much the better.
