Re: I had my last run ever this morning

  • Congrats on the lasik!  Everyone I know who's ever had it says it's the best thing they ever did for themselves!!  Good for you!

As for sunglasses - I've never had a problem running in in whatever sunglasses I have.  GL to you!

  • You will be see happy to be able to see!  Best decision I ever made. I'd hold out on the sunglasses until you get the Lasik done, that way you can see yourself better when you pick out the new shades.

  • I got Lasik 4 years ago and am so happy it did. Don't get too nervou, it's over so fast.

I love my Smith Toaster sunglasses. They were an investment but I've had them for over 5 years and they still look good.

  • Jealous! I'd love to get laski but #1. i'm poor #2, i'd be so scared.

I have boston bill glasses for running. They were about $40. My only requirements are polarized & nose grippys so they don't slip around.

Enjoy your new ability to see!  Can't comment on the Lasik, but I also have the Smith Toasters and love them.  I got mine before my honeymoon 8 years ago and they're still going strong.

  • Good luck!  I wish I could get Lasik.

  • Oh, jealous!  Hope all goes well!

  • You will love it!  I had it done back in 1998 and it was the best decision ever.  Not only running without glasses but seeing first thing when you wake up, seeing in the shower and swimming just to name a few awesome things you will experience. After your eyes will feel a little sore but it doesn't last long.
  • I'm so jealous! I've wanted LASIK forever but my vision hasn't been steady enough to be a candidate yet. It would be so nice to wake up and actually be able to read the alarm clock w/o glasses or run w/o contacts. Hope you love it!

another vote for Smiths (I think mine are toaster, but not sure).  I'm amazed at how well they fit, and how well they stay on.  I completely forget they are there.

GL with the Lasik!  I'm jealous.  :)
