Re: weekly book post

  • Guess what I am still reading...Twanged.  Hope to finish it by this time next week.  The newest and latest book in the series came out today in hardcover.  I will try to resist buying it. I might put my name on the wait list at the library but if I buy it then my mom and MIL can read it too.  The author was on the Today show today with her mom, who is also an author.  I didn't get to see it and haven't watched it online yet.
  • I read "twilight" finally. Figured after all the hype of that was over I could read it now. I liked it more than the movie, I will definitely be reading the next book, already on the waitlist for the kindle version at my library. I didn't LOVE it, but it was a fun read. Now I'm reading "Traveling". I'm only a few e-pages in but its pretty good so far. It was the next thing that came up from my waitlist holds at the library :)

  • A friend of mine bought me "The Magic" by Rhonda Byrne-same author as "The Secret".  Just started it and not horribly impressed, but I loved "The Secret" so I'm gonna give it a fair shot.
  • I'm in the middle of Gone by Mo Hayder. Picket it up for the SBC challenge, and I'm really enjoying it.  I'm so excited, got to get through one more day at school, then spring break (and HUGE stack of books and sleeping IN all week!)

  • I just finished the hunger games series, i liked them but didn't love them. I felt like it dragged a lot. Like the tended to explain a lot more than necessary, even things that were implied.

I am now reading the girl who kicked the hornets nest.

I want to read Jump Cut next by Lisa McClendon

  • I'm just finishing up the second book of the hunger games, now that the play is over and I'm on break and have time to read again!  I agree that it tends to over explain things but I also remind myself that the book is designed for tweens and such.

I'll probably move on to Mockingjay next, but I want to read 50 Shades of Grey.
