For the fat-people obsessed
I have lost 14 pounds! I've been on NutriSystem for 10 weeks now, and it's finally paying off. I got sick of my jeans falling down this evening, so I decided to try on my "skinny" (for me) jeans. THEY FIT. I am doing a happy dance now.
Re: For the fat-people obsessed
A girl I worked with used that, but she left the company before she'd been on it a while.
She said the food was horrific though
Has it been rough for you?
Also, congratulations!
Actually, no. I think it's pretty tasty. I mean, it's not gourmet-restaurant worthy, but my H did the cooking before I got on the diet and he has four meals: chicken, spaghetti, tacos and hamburgers. I have way more variety now.
I think they revamped the meals because people complained about them.
Yeah. You get a protein shake and a small item for breakfast (like a muffin, or a breakfast bar), then you pack your own snack (I usually have string cheese), lunch is one of their items + a salad or some sort of veggie, then there's a mid-afternoon snack (I usually have a clementine), dinner is one of their items + a veggie and a roll or some sort of carb, and you get dessert. I'm never really hungry, which is awesome and really helpful in not wanting to cheat.
Yeah, NutriSystem.com, click "Menu." That sounds snarky, but it is in fact how you find the menu.
Every time they have the commercials it's always such-and-such amount to join plus the cost of food. If I can ask, how expensive is the food?
ETA: Congratulations! Sorry, I have no manners.
I've used it before (maybe about 2.5 years ago) and thought the food was OK. If it's gotten better since then... wow. Then again, I grew up on lots of TV dinners and Chef Boyardees, so I have low standards.
I didn't stick to it well enough to work (I was trying to lose the last 10 vanity pounds), but if that's really all you eat then it ends up being about 12 dollars/day or something like that, plus the snacks and salads you need to provide yourself. So if that's really all you eat, it's not too expensive. Although I guess that depends on how much you normally spend on food. I would otherwise eat out a lot, so this was actually saving me money.
