Re: Reccomend your highlighter!!!

  • Dior Amber Diamond. Seriously, the best! It's a powder, pricey but will last forever.

eta: the full name of the product is "diorskin shimmer star" and the color is amber diamond :)

  • I have 3 kinds of highlighter that I use, but the only powder highlighter is Dior Shimmer in Amber Diamond (I have a beige complexion with yellow undertones)  http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P205822&categoryId=B70

I use this to bronze or highlight certain specific areas like my cheeks or browbone area.  If I use it to bronze, I take a large brush, swirl it around a little and apply in a number "3" formation over my eyebrows, around to my cheeks, then around to my chin area.  If I use it just highlight a small area, I take a smaller brush and use the color in the brick that I want (usually the lightest or whitest color) and apply it there.  Use a light touch with your brushes and blend well (I use a clean big brush to blend so I don't add more color).

The other highlighters I may use are Benefit's Moon Beam liquid (I mix that with my foundation for a dewy and glowy effect) and Dior's Booster Pen (I put it under my eyes, the bow over my lip and sometimes down the center of my nose).

eta:  For the powder and the liquid highlighters, you may want to get something with pink undertones to match your complexion/coloring.

  • I like the Bobbi Brown shimmer bricks (they come in a few different shades) though lately I've been using MAC's iridescent loose powder in silver dust. A little goes a LONG way so it'll last forever.
