I am wondering if anyone works or has any advice on careers in educational publishing. I am currently a teacher but am considering a career change and publishing has always been of interest to me. I would love to work for a magazine such as Time for Kids, Scholastic News or Weekly Reader. Any advice?

Those types of magazines, I'm sure, also have very high competition. If you're really interested in publishing, I'd try to get some journalism/magazine experience first and work your way up.
