Picking a mover

We have narrowed it down to two both recommended, no negative reviews. One is $120 cheaper but we have to go pick up the boxes. 20 minutes away. And can only go M-F 7-5.  They are used but free.  The other place will deliver them even Sat.

Re: Picking a mover

  • I'd save the $120 and go pick them up.

This.  I don't feel like getting boxes delivered constitutes an extra $120.

This. Unless you had to miss work and drive through an hour's worth of traffic I would save the money.

  • Thanks.  I guess once the kids are asleep I will do a line by line check of the estimates.

    I agree

  • I would try to negotiate the price. If I have a comparable but slightly cheaper offer, I let the other place know and many times they match or beat it. (It works in retail, too... I did this last week and the shoe store honored their competitor's price.)
