From what looks like a day filled with cleaning and possibly stressing about the weekend! Hope everyone else is having a great weekend- what are you lot up to this weekend?
Re: Taking a break
I hate cleaning
so I can understand the escape! Also whats got you stressed about the weekend?
It is H's birthday but he has abandoned me to go visit his parents in another state and to attend his brothers bucks night. But it is also my niece's birthday so I plan to bake and decorate a cake and we are having a birthday lunch on Monday (it is a public holiday here). other than that I am going to do all those things I can't do while H is around because he thinks its disgusting or lazy- like eat junk food whilst watching next top model and sitting ont he couch watching a Johnny Depp movie marathon (for like 10 hours).
Oh no - hope the weekend isn't too painful!
I'm off to the town center later this afternoon for the "super sales fair" - theoretically, there should be some great prices on the stuff that was left over after the seasonal sales. We'll see. Tomorrow, if it doesn't snow in the mountains, we're off to a little town called Frias so DH and his cousin can drink wine and so I can drink grape juice and get some driving practice. DH proposed to me in the tower of the castle so there's some special memories there. It's also the town his grandpa was from.
It's holy week here in Spain. I wonder if I'll run into any "nazare?o" processions. They're beautiful, but still spook me a bit.
Ugh, I feel you. Music is the only thing that makes cleaning bearable.
This week end we have to get the packing ball rolling. We're going to Costco to stock up on items for the new place so we won't have to go again too soon after the move. I'm hoping they sell packaging tape and bubble wrap 'cause I'm going to need loads of them. We should also squeeze in a trip to the Container Store, BB&B, Sleepy's and Manhattan Mini Storage.
We also want to have some fun (!) so I think today we're going to the Auto Show! First time ever since we moved here. Every year we said we were going to make it and never did. Should be fun.

Morning!
Today we're going to visit DH's 93-year-old grandma before we leave for the States next Friday. We were supposed to go last week, but DD got a fever in reaction to her MMR vaccine (whoever was talking about MMR reactions on here, her abdomen, chest, and face also broke out in spots, but they didn't seem to bother her), so we had to postpone. Tomorrow is church and Easter dinner with just the 3 of us, then on Monday DH's parents are celebrating their combined "120th" in a big way with about 70 guests. Then we'll have 3 days to get everything finished and packed before we leave for the US next Friday for 5 months - crazy that it's less than a week now!
