Bikram/hot yoga

What do you wear?

I wear regular long yoga pants and they get too hot and sticky.  I am signing up again and thinking about buying new workout clothes.

Re: Bikram/hot yoga

  • I don't really do bikram much anymore, but when I did I wore crop tights (Lululemon WunderUnder crops) and a sports bra. I just can't get on board with the bikini-like bottoms that a lot of the girls wear. I felt like the crops were a decent compromise.

  • I wear Lululemon boogie shorts and Lululemon scooptop racerback bra tops.

  • I wore yoga shorts with a dry fit tank sports tank top.  You want something that you can sweat in.  Jogging pants would have killed me, and cotton shirts are just really uncomfortable for me when they get wet.

  • If you don't want to spend a lot they actually have pretty god stuff at old navy that would work great, especially their work out tops.

  • I wore wicking capris and a wicking top with a shorts bra built in.  I found that with shorts, my legs got too sweaty to hold some poses well.  Cotton tops were a nightmare for me when they got sweaty - they'd just stick to me.  Ugh!

*ahem, sports bra, not shorts bra, haha.

  • I wear tights, a sports bra, and a ribbed tank. Sometimes I do yoga pants and it's fine. I can't do shorts though. My legs get sweaty and I usually have lotion on; it's a bad combination. Lol.

  • Thanks. I did try the short shorts once, and I wasn't able to hold poses, too. I didn't have any lululemon last time I was a member, I think I will try my wunder unders to see if the wick moisture better or not than my regular yoga pants.
  • My sister is an instructor and she wears her wunder unders with a lululemon tank.
  • I do the shorts and some of the looser Gap tops. I would invest in a yogitoes or manduka sweat towel to help hold poses -- I wrap it around my ankles/feet, etc. for grip.

  • Wunder Unders are better, but yeah, I eventually got on board with the tiny shorts and a bra tank. I totally have to psych myself up to do it, but it's much more comfortable.
  • Maybe after a few sessions I muster up the courage to show my belly fat!! For now I am going to stick  with regular tops.

Thank you for the rec for the grip towel, I guess a trip to lulu is in order!!
