Good morning Ladies!
I am so glad its Friday! Hoping today at the office is nice and easy. I have to run to the store tonight and get our last few things for Easter dinner. E has a practice test tomorrow for the PE he has to take at some point and is working so I'm going to clean the house tonight with his help and hopefully just relax and get ready for Easter tomorrow while he is gone!
What are you all up to today? Plans for the weekend?

One perk of living in the religious Christian south is my boss gave us today off. Outside of a spring break situation I've never had a good Friday off. I am soooo happy to have today off, I'm exhausted mentally from work. Dh is also off. We are getting chick fil a for breakfast and chilling. He's going to play golf with a buddy who is PCSing next week. Im going to bum around and maybe have lunch with a friend, maybe go to the used bookstore. Probably dinner with H's golf friend and others tonight. Should be a nice relaxing day.
For once I have something more interesting to contribute to the "what's up today" question than "working"
I changed my name
I just registered for my Research program. The deadline was today, and the lady who I was supposed to register with took the day off. I am trying not to freak out and kick myself for waiting until the last minute, as usual. But I am sitting here thinking, HOW can this person be out of the office and not have someone else handling this? WTeverlovingF?
I am sure it's fine, but I hate this limbo.
I have no plans for the weekend. We may go to church, any church for easter. IDK. We will have house guests on Sunday. So that will be a nice change.
ETA: OMG I forgot that today was Good Friday! That is probably why the lady isn't at work!
I'm "working" today...my supervisor is off so it's a damn free for all.
Tomorrow I'm going to make cupcakes for Sunday and do what prep work I can for the appetizer I'm making for Sunday. I want to find an activity table for Sophia which means I'm going to have to go to Toys R Us because Target doesn't have any. Sunday we're going to my aunts for Easter dinner.
What did you decide to make for the appetizer??
I made some calls on base today to start my EFMP paperwork and didn't get the runaround, so that was exciting! I was going to take the dog to the dog park but the weather looks bad so I think I'll just wait until tomorrow. M is going to the Masters tournament tomorrow, so I'll need something to keep me busy anyway. No big plans for Easter for us.
Had Physical Therapy this morning. We talked a little bit about when I can go back to work, we will see how my knee is next week before he makes a recommendation. I need to vaccuum my couch and clean my bathroom before my parents get here. I need to run to the commissary to get some groceries for this weekend.
I reaIlly wish H would go talk to finance people because they overpaid him for his travel last paycheck, and he checked his LES and it is docked some but in my opinion not as much as it should be for that. Also last night H got the date range that he leaving in, and his assignment changed which means how long he is going to be gone has now changed. I just laughed when he told me and said they will probably change it again.
The Dogs and Us
If the weather cooperates, I'm hoping to take the dogs to the park tomorrow morning and I have my hospital tour tomorrow afternoon. Hoping to get a coat of paint on the walls in the boys' room sometime this weekend and I also need to scoot on over to Target to set up a mini-registry for my office baby shower.

I'm think some take on stuffed mushrooms but using puff pastry instead of mushroom caps.
I'm at work. I was driving here this morining and was wondering why traffic seemed so light.. duh, no one is working today. Unfortunately my doctor doesn't take time off for anything but Christmas and Thanksgiving. I think today will go by fast and I'm hope to actually get out of here on time or a little early.
Other news, H failed his PT test this morning. I feel horrible. He has always had trouble with the tape test. He can max out everything else, but when it comes to his waist, he can never get rid of his love handles (even right out of basic). He's been trying so hard and there was a lot weighing on this one (cross-training in particular) so I know he's going to be super bummed. I'm sure now he'll be just trying to PCS (He and everyone else NCO and below hates their shop). I just wish I could do something
ETA: We're going out tonight with a couple friends. Tomorrow (if it doesn't rain) we'll probably go Kayaking and I'll make Crock pot shredded beef tacos Sunday.

I have today off, first day off in forever, so I'm having a "me" day and getting my nails done and having lunch with a friend. I have to work tomorrow, and then Sunday I'm going to church with my mom, sister, and in laws, and then having brunch with friends before I sleep 7 or 8 hours, get up about 11 pm, and start the trek to N. Carolina for H's liberty/grad from MCT. It's 13 hours straight through, so there will be a lot of Red Bull in my future that night. I'm looking forward to getting to see the sun come up while I'm driving, though (I love roadtrips, even by myself). Is that weird?
k! Call me if I can help, ok?? You know C baby and I are just chillin at the house. Today I'm sitting and watching tv. I might fold laundry. Otherwise, I'm just waiting to hear back on that farking job I applied for. Tonight we are going to a friends birthday party and I'm studying for the AFOQT this weekend. Which really is just an exercise in futility as I will always be horrific at math and get a 100% on the English/reading comp.

Ojo, I totally agree...spinach and artichoke dip in the cups would be delicious. MMMM.
They are perfectly bite-size and delicious! I've seen them in the freezer section and you have to bake them, but I've also seen them already baked in the cracker/bread/specialty aisle as well. I've also bought phyllo dough and made them myself with a mini muffin pan.
I'm washing and prepping uniforms and t-shirts and what not since I have to be in uniform starting next week. I'm nervous about my interview on Wednesday because it's a civilian job and she said we could negotiate the salary, which I've never had to do. I don't want to ask too much because in reality, I have no marketing degree so I'm not quite qualified. But at the same token, I don't want to accept something lower than I should, I'm not quite green behind the ears and I do have quite a bit of admin experience. I'm probably over thinking it, but that is the way I do things.
In other news, I'm fighting with the state of PA because it's heavily combat arms(read:all male) and they have no openings for my grade and MOS(s) so they're trying to find something for me to reclass into which has turned into a nightmare because they don't want to pay for it. ::::headdesk:::: On the plus side, DH was offered a promotion, he accepted and just re-enlisted for another 2. They know that he will be transferring states but his command said he deserved it and they want to see him go out and do great things in his new state. I'm very happy for him, I think it has renewed a bit of his faith in his service.
No real plans for this weekend. Our friends/neighbors invited us over for Easter dinner and we might go hit up $2/beer night with them again tonight.
My parents are coming in a a couple hours but I will probably come visit next week I am getting bored sitting at home.
