Fifty Shades of Grey anyone?
I got a sample of this book on my kindle because I have heard a lot of women crazy over reading this book. Its an erotic romance novel which I normally wouldn't read but all the stuff i am hearing about it makes me want to read it. Have any of you heard of this book?

Re: Fifty Shades of Grey anyone?
This was originally a Twilight fan fiction. She published it and basically just changed the names of the characters. I just finished the fan fiction (I refuse the book). It's definitely racy. I don't think I would have liked the book at all. The fan fiction version, with the direct Twilight tie was entertaining, but it's not what I would call a good book. I think it's ridiculously over-hyped by the media. I think I gave it two stars out of five.
I certainly wouldn't pay for it. I have a pdf of the fan fic if anyone wants to read it. Just email me.

This is pretty much why I read the fanfiction instead. It's still out there if you google and she doesn't make money off of that.

Wait, explain this to me? Stephanie Meyer wrote the book? The new author took the book, changed the names, and published almost exactly the same story?
We are reading this book for my book club in June and I don't really want to spend my money on it. If I read the pdf that Jo has is it going to be a different story?

I can get it for you.

No, the author of the book originally wrote it as a Twilight fanfic. She pulled it from the web and published it, changing names and some other minor details. From reviews I've read on Goodreads, the story is almost exactly word for word the same. To me that's a violation of intellectual property rights. Fanfic is one thing, but profiting from it is another.

Don't read it. The first half is almost all sex and the rest has lots of it. I started skipping over it towards to end because it got boring.

OK I won't. I wonder why so many people raved about it.
