Baby girl snap crotch swimsuit?
Hi Crafties, I've been looking for a baby girl one piece swimsuit that snaps at the crotch for my 6 month old. I don't understand why none of the major clothing brands carry something like this. Anyway, I was thinking about just buying a swimsuit that is too big, cutting the crotch, re-hemming, and sewing in snaps. Good idea? Bad idea? Tips?
Re: Baby girl snap crotch swimsuit?
I personally wouldn't b/c buying bigger, the body of the suit may end up to big & then sizing that in... the time does justify the cost/savings to me (I have to adjust DD2s pants all.the.time).
I would (and did) buy the rash-guard style top and used the swim dipes when DD1 was little. it gives you move coverage than the 1-piece. Or, you can buy a tankini style 2piece & use that top instead or the rash guard style
I really like our Bummis reusable swim diaper. And for my fair skinned kid, I have a Coolibar full coverage suit this year.
