Re: Can you post your daily (AM & PM) skincare routine?

  • Just be sure that you are using at least SPF 30 during the day.

I use a night cream or moisturizer along with the Retin-A.  The Retin-A dries me out otherwise.

Tell me about eye cream.  I've never used one.  What does it do? Can you really tell a difference?  I just put all of my face products around my eyes as well (Vit C serum, my BB cream with spf and antioxidants, my regular moisturizer, and now I'm going to do the Retin-A, too).

  • Combo skin

    Morning:

face wash: Ole Henriksen African Red Tea foaming cleanser

eye cream: Ole Henriksen total truth  eye creme spf 15

Vit c serum: Ole Henriksen Truth Serum

Face lotion: Kiehls Ultra facial moisturizer spf 15-  It's a little greasy for me and I'm not sure if I'll continue to use it when it's gone.  I think I'll go back to the Ole Henriksen Truth Revealed Super Creme SPF 15.

    Night:

Makeup remover: Jojoba Oil - love this

face wash: Neutrogena Pink grapefruit cream cleanser

eye cream: Ole Henriksen Ultimate Eye lift gel

    Oil/moisturizer:  Kiehls Midnight recovery serum

Twice a week I use Ole Henriksen Walnut Scrub

Because that is the amount needed to protect skin from cancer and signs of aging.  It is what dermatologists recommend for this reason.

I find it weird that so many cosmetics products have less than 30 spf when this is the recommended strength - especially BB creams with less than that, as BB creams are touted as skincare and makeup in one.

that's frustrating.  I need to find a good Spf 30 moisturizer.

  • Skin type: Combination. Oily t-zone and dry cheeks.

    Morning:

Clinique 7 day scrub in the shower

    Clinique turnaround concentrate

Whatever sample of daytime moisturizer I have. I'm still trying to decide on a good daytime moisturizer.

    Night:

    Clinique Rinse-off Foaming Cleanser

    Clinique turnaround concentrate

    Sephora night cream

I also have a sample of Clinique's eye cream that I use every once in awhile.

  • I guess I'll post mine, even though I think everyone probably knows it :)

    Skin type: Combination

    Morning

Cleanser: CeraVe and a gentle Buff Puff

    Beyond Belief Vitamin C Serum

Clinique BB Cream (provides my spf 30 and additional anti-oxidants)

I've found that I really don't need a moisturizer during the day.

I use different types of makeup.

Maybe I'll be adding MOM and Monistat Chafing Gel to my list?  lol

    Evening

Cleanser: CeraVe and a gentle Buff Puff

Retin A.  I'm transitioning to .1%, so I'm alternating every other night with .05% and .1$

Skin Biology Skin Signals cream (just switched to this from Neova Night Therapy).  These are copper peptide products, although I'm skeptical about Skin Biology's "second generation" copper peptides.

Sometimes I'll also use Cetaphil moisturizer if my skin is feeling particularly dry.  Most of the time the copper peptide cream is enough to moisturize.

Oh, and depending on the type of makeup I used (waterproof or something that is hard to get off), I'll use the Neutrogena makeup remover wipes at night.

  • ETA: Combination skin

    AM:

    - Wash with Dermalogica Skin Clearning Foaming face wash

    - Every other day, in the shower: Dry face, apply Mint Julep mask for 15 mins (this is better out of the shower, but it's easier for me to do it this way while I finish the rest of my shower, then rinse it off)

    - Spray GM Colin toner to face (I think they call it the Sensiderm Lotion.) Let it soak in.

    - Apply Dermalogica Intense Balance moisturizer to cheeks (my skin is super dry there.) Let it soak in. Also, this is not a HG for me. When I run out, I'll buy something else. It's just meh.

    -  Apply Garnier BB Cream

I don't do an additional SPF, because my skin is really sensitive to SPF, even physical ones. I was nervous about the one in the BB Cream, but so far it's been okay.

    PM:

    - Remove eye makeup

    - Wash with same Dermalogica wash

    - Spray toner, let it soak in

    - Put on night cream (Right now I'm using a sample of Benefit's, in the little sea urchin looking glass. My favorite is Clarins in the blue jar.)

    - Put on eye cream, Clinique All About Eyes Rich

As a final step in each one, if I need to, I'll use spot treatment. Burt's Bee's for the day, a spot of Mint Julep mask for night.

  •  Combo/Acne Prone

    Morning:

    Lanc?me Cleansing Oil

Giorgio Armani Lumious Silk foundation (apply with brush)

Use other makeup, but it's irrelevant in terms of skin care I think.

     Night:

     Lanc?me Cleansing Oil

    Retin-A

Guerlain Super Aqua Night - this stuff is expensive, about $100/oz. but it is amazing.

I also use ExfoliKate by Kate Sommerville for exfoliation as needed.

  • Skin Type: Combination (Oily T-zone, normal cheeks) Sensitive w/ Rosacea

    Morning:

Exuviance Facial wash in the shower

3X week I will use Clinique 7 day scrub

    Apply 1% Metrogel (rosacea rx)

Apply Exuviance Moisturizer w/ SPF 15 (I use the normal in the winter, oily in the summer.  Will likely switch this out for a mattifying lotion from either Murad or Bobbi Brown)

Apply makeup, if wearing.  I use either Smashbox BB cream or a Bobbi Brown foundation w/ a Sephora primer

    Evening:

Exuviance Facial Wash or MAC makeup wipes to remove makeup

3X week, apply sulpher treatment for rosacea

Apply Exuviance night moisturizer and eye cream

  • Go Dawgs- I use Clinique All About Eyes Rich. It is really nice, and goes on creamy and smooth, yet absorbs easily. I use it daily (morning and night). When I am outdoors for a long time, I purchased Shiseido?s spf eye cream, which has gotten really good reviews. Will wear this if I?m outdoors for a prolonged period of time (ballgame, park, vacation, etc). I use it to moisturize the area (and hopefully prevent the forthcoming of wrinkles.) The eye area is more delicate the tissue is difference there than the rest of the face, so it is important to not use your moisturizer there (so I?ve read/heard). Thus, I use a moisturizer for my face and an eye cream for my eye area.

Dbucks- I like how you use the mint mask. I also have the Mint Julep mask, and I know it?s ?better? to use it after a shower since your pores are open, but I find it difficult to scrub everything off. I may need to try your technique!

MsKate- What is it about the Guerlain that you love? Do you put it all over your face after Retin A?

Side note: I am considering using Shiseido Pureness line for the summer since I get super oily in my t-zone.

  • mine is out of whack right now, but what WORKS for me is...

    Clinique acne foaming cleanser, morning

    Clinique acne toner, morning

Murad SPF Mattefying lotion, morning - also serves as my primer

Clinique acne cleanser OR Boscia black detox cleanser, evening - every other night with my clarisonic knock off

    Clinique acne toner

Clinique acne lotion or something else with benzoyl peroxide

The nights I don't use the Pretika, I use my Philosophy microdelivery enzyme peeel....this is my most favorite product EVER

    Clinique all about eyes

  • for makeup I am using BM matte or cover FX, se with BM mineral veil in the compact, and randoms....maybelline mascara, tarte blush and liner, maybelline age rewind illuminator
  • AM - Eye Cream (right now Kiehls midnight recovery eye sample, or Bobbi Brown eye cream sample)

Oil of olay regenerist serum - it's just about gone and I probably won't repurchase

Vit C serum ( I just got, so have only used a couple days)

Moisturizer- Right now using Boots No 7 TM mixed with Neutrogena (http://www.neutrogena.com/product/ageless+intensives-+tone+correcting+daily+moisturizer+spf+30.do)

Makeup: Mary kay mineral powder (don't use everyday)

PM- wash with Kiehls cleanser, Boots No 7 night cream, eye cream

Once a week or whenever I think of it I use an exfoliator

    Cricket's Cadence
  • I have mostly normal skin that's acne prone. Just a little oily in the t-zone. A lot of makeup makes me break out (but I love it anyway).

    Morning:

Cleanser: clean & clear continuous control acne cleanser (10% BP) w/ clarisonic

    Serum: eminence organics eight greens

Moisturizer: eminence organics eight greens (over face, neck, eye area)

Sunblock: dermalogica super sensitive face block spf 30 (they've changed the name and bottle since I have been using this but I plan to buy it again)

    Primer: smashbox primer light

Foundation: I just tried the new Benefit foundation and sent it back. Totally made me break out and had an oily texture. I just ordered Koh Gen Do during sephora's 15% off and am dying to get it!

    Night:

Cleanser: clean & clear continuous control acne cleanser (10% BP) w/ clarisonic

    Serum: eminence organics stone crop

Moisturizer: eminence organics eight greens (over whole face, neck, eye area)

Eye cream: sometimes but I'm not using one right now.

    Body:

Scrub: philosophy be somebody water lily scrub

    Moisturizer: eucerin calming creme

Feet: bath & body works true blue spa shea foot lotion

    Facials:

I buy a variety of eminence organics facial components and give myself weekly facials. I see someone for a professional facial about every 2-3 months but can get great results at home too. I love weekend facials.

  • Wow... I'm impressed by how much time and money you all spend on this!! I'm about as plain as you can be. I have slightly sensitive skin which can occasionally get dry. I use Norwex face wash cloths in the shower with water only. I then apply aveeno simply radiant moisturizer with SPF 30. That's it. :)
