Re: TGIF

  • Today I'm off work for a 4 day weekend!  So happy about that.  I'm hanging out with Lucas.  He thought it was cool to wake Mom up at 7 am even though we had a talk about sleeping in because we had nowhere to go this morning. :)  We are going to run errands later, eat lunch and maybe sneak in shopping while Daddy is working.  E has a softball game tonight so we'll see how Lucas does at that.

Tomorrow our only majors plans are cleaning.  The house is close to being a disaster but we just havent had the time or energy to clean up around here.

Sunday we are going to my Grandmother's Sister's, so I guess she's technically my Aunt.  She's turning 83 so we are throwing her a party on Easter.  We'll hang around there all day because E's family doesn't really do anything for any holiday.

Monday I'm off work!  It will probably consist of more cleaning and laundry.  I'm fine with that.

  • Today work and work

Tomorrow: Clean the house, bake for Easter, color eggs with my Maggie, and go to Easter Vigil Mass

Sunday: a whole lot of eating!! I am thinking of hiding some eggs outside and letting Maggie 'find' them. It will make for some cute pictures if nothing else. We are probably doing dinner with my family then dessert with my ILs.

  • We are going to apply for a mortgage today! My dad gave us a hefty down payment to help us out. I'm nervous, I've never done this before!

Then tonight we're going to my moms house to color easter eggs with my nieces.

Saturday we are meeting up with our good buddies and their 2 sons.

Sunday we're heading to my grandmothers, and the the ILs for Easter!

Congrats! That's awesome! Word of advice - if you have a copy of the check/money transfer, bring that with you. They question any large, abnormal deposit. Mark had gotten a bonus right before we applied for ours and we ended up having to "prove" that the money was legit.

Today, I'm working from home and doing a ton of baking for the weekend. I also have an appointment for a haircut and need to pick some things up at the mall and the grocery store. Busy day!

Tomorrow morning M and I have a gym date and then we're going to his Uncle's for an Easter Eve party.

Sunday we'll do church and then head up to my parents' for Easter dinner with some extended family and M's Mom.

  • Today: Ella woke up at 5:30! Awesome! We are starting Spring Cleaning. Our house is a disaster and we need to PURGE! However, my genius child figured out that when I tell her "no" it is more effective to go over and knock over a giant pile of sorted clothes than to cry. My real plan is to go room by room during my school break week after next -- Ella will still have daycare ie. no pile knocking over.

Later I have a meeting and maybe a chiro appointment if there's a cancellation.

Saturday: Benefit breakfast for the high school track team, more cleaning

Sunday: DH golfs, both of our families are out of town so we are thinking ham pizza.

That's so awesome!!!  Nerve-wracking, but totally exciting!  A word of advice about the bolded part (in addition to Kate's) is to keep in mind the gift tax.  There's a limit to how much can be given as a gift before your dad would be taxed on it, so have him look into that if he hasn't already!  We were lucky enough that my parents were able to help us out with our downpayment too (we're now paying them back for it lol), and the bank warned them about the gift tax so they had to give a little less than they had planned.

  • Today: I'm working, but DH is off. Tonight we're going to do dinner and go see American Reunion with friends.

Tomorrow: Not much planned, we're thinking maybe we'll ride our bikes on the bike trail to the next town over and meet my mom and Grandma for lunch.

Sunday: Easter dinner at my parents' with them, my youngest brother, my grandma and FIL.

  • Maria- That's my plan over spring break, too, well, minus the baby-knocking-piles over party, LOL.

Today- I have the day off so I am getting some cleaning done before we leave for the weekend. Hopefully I will also have time to go get some new sneakers, and then get some gym time in also.

Tomorrow- Heading home for the Easter weekend. Having an early dinner with DH's mother (ugh) then hopefully hanging out with some friends tomorrow night.

Sunday- church, big dinner with my fam, then the IL's later in the day. We aren't coming back home until Monday morning, thankfully--avoiding that Sunday night Mass pike traffic...

Monday- we are both taking the day off and heading back home after the Easter weekend.

  • Today I work until 5, so nothing major for today, at least it's payday!

Tomorrow I plan to try get some cleaning done in the morning, then at noon I go to get my hair styled at my hair dressers. After that's done time for Maternity pictures, YAY Smile My SIL who is a photographer will be doing them, so I'm pretty excited.

Sunday, church and spending time with the family and some much needed relaxing!

  • Today - reading, catching up on my DVR, and maybe some knitting, and then making pizza for dinner. I just finished updating my Belly Book and organizing some pictures to get printed at Walgreens. Good Friday mass if T gets home on time.

Saturday - no idea, T has to mow the grass and begin building the new shed he bought, I'll probably knit, read, work on baby things, online shop for our niece's 1st bday present, and maybe some online shopping for Jellybean. We need to order the crib soon, I want to start working on the nursery, it's still a spare guest room right now.

Sunday - Easter mass in the morning (I want to go to the earliest mass there is because the later ones tend to get super crowded), then who knows, maybe we'll do some shopping, making Easter dinner for the 2 of us, maybe spend some time outside taking a long walk if it's nice out.

  • Today/Tonight: Work, then go to another celebration for DH's new job.

Tomorrow: Work, then keep spring cleaning my house, maybe paint my hallway (which will make DH SUPER pleased.)

Sunday: Church, or drive over to our family celebration. I really wanted to do this, but it's snowing :(

  • Today:  My sister and I went to yoga this morning.  We are going to my other sister's for a family dinner early afternoon today and I think we will venture out for a walk before we go since it's so nice out.

Other than that, DH is off on spring break now, and we have no real plans for the weekend.  Maybe church on Sunday and we have some serious spring cleaning and organizing that keeps getting put off.

  • I'm surprised at how many of you have to work today! I probably said that last year too... Anyways, my weekend plans:

Today: slept in, cleaned out the fridge, folded a load of laundry, clean-up out bedroom, relax on the sofa with DH maybe watch a movie, read "One Day"

Tomorrow: sleep in again (but hopefully not too late), paint and/or do electrical work, maybe go out to see a movie

Sunday: church (choir is singing in both services, brunch between the two services), going over to my parent's house (DH is complaining because he says it'll be boring, but it's Easter, so we can't not go).

Monday: my brother and his girlfriend fly in from Asia for a month visit! I haven't seen him since he left at the end of October.

He looked into it before hand, and is gifting DH and I each $13000 which is the maximum gift allowed per year! Thank you for this heads up though, because if he hadnt done his research I would have had NO CLUE that they taxed gifts!
