I have heard mixed reviews about this resturant. I know its expensive and the food isnt that good but that you can possibly run into famous people eating there. How expensive is it? Could you order drinks and dessert and get by?
If you do not suggestion going here what is another resturant you may see celebrities?
Also has anyone been to a taping of the Price is Right recently? I went right before Bob Barker retired and we had to sleep on the street to assure that we would get in. I wondered if the hype had dyed down some so we wouldnt have to waste as much time on this short trip?
Re: The Ivey in LA
I have seen celebs at Coral Tree cafe in Brentwod, not everytime I have been there, but 3 times out of 5.

You can run into famous people anywhere.
I've never been to The Ivy, but if you want to go to that neighborhood, the Newsroom is a good option and there are celebs that go there as well. Also- there are some famous stores (Kitson, Lisa Kline) along there as well. So you could always "window shop" on Robertson and then go eat somewhere nearby.
The Grove is also a good place to celeb spot and it's right next to CBS where they tape The Price is Right. Not sure about getting in to TPIR, but I do believe that if you're not a group, you will need to get there pretty early.
Newsroom Cafe? Big fat meh to the food there.
But I guess it would serve her celebrity-spotting purposes.
