Re: Virginia Beach ladies
I was just reading this
Sad day for VA and for the aviation community.
The Chicago Tribune claimed that both pilots were taken to the hospital... I wonder why this says just one..
I'm okay, but I'm almost half an hour from where it happened. I'm not positive where Mary lives but I don't think it's near there because I think she's not too far from me. Not sure where KCD lives though.
It's all over the news here. It wasn't military housing at all, and from what i'm hearing it was an apartment building for older people. They haven't said anything about finding anyone inside yet, but the buildings are pretty damaged or gone.
It's saying here that only one pilot was taken to the hospital.
Thanks for the update.
Glad you and your H are both okay..
I'm glad you're ok. How scary for you. I hope YH can get there soon.
Yeah that's what I'm seeing now too. They keep updating and changing.
I'm a regular on NBC, but wanted to pop in here to offer my thoughts and prayers to anyone in the area.
I read this a little while ago too. It's right around the corner from where H lived when he was stationed at Langley. Scary!
I hope everyone is okay.
This is so scary. I am so glad that they pilots are okay. But how could Maintenance let a plane like that go? Were there no warning signs, nothing that should have been repaired? Why was this plane not grounded? I am having a really hard time believing that this was a freak accident. Maybe it was, but my gut says no.
This wouldn't be the first time I've heard stories of planes not being "air ready" but being put in use anyway because of one thing or another. It makes me so mad.
