I need any suggestions you can give. I am current 40w2d pregnant and will be having a baby next wednesday. 6 weeks after my little girl is born my whole family from out of town and DH's family that lives in town will be joining us for her blessing at church. Generally, we take pics and things afteward since everyone is together.
My problem is that I don't know what to wear. I am normally a size 8 but I anticipate being about a size 12 at 6 weeks post-partum so I will be too large for anything in my closet. I am also quite busty (36 DDD/F pre-preg.) and they will be larger at that time. I was thinking a maxi skirt and peasant top but don't know if this is just a frumpy combo.
Oh, I will also be breastfeeding so I will need something that will make my still accessible.
Any suggestions for something that will be flattering. I know there is only so much clothes can do but I would like to look presentable in the pictures for posterity sake and all that.
Thanks for any help you can give.
Re: Post pg church appropriate clothing-Help
I think wrap dresses are pretty universally flattering. If it has some ruching on the sides that could help mask the post-partum belly area. Can't say for sure, but I'd think a maxi skirt and peasant top would look frumpy.
Good luck and congrats in advance! Girls are so fun
I agree with Theycalledherkate. I'd wear a cross-top tank maxi dress with a nursing cami under it and maybe a short-sleeved or 3/4 length sleeved cardigan over it. You can either wear a wedge or a flat shoe and some pretty jewelry. Here are two I found at Old Navy that would be really flattering on.
