I come bearing Trainwreck City
Re: I come bearing Trainwreck City
42 pages!
From everything I've seen, CPS doesn't take kids away lightly... there has to be more to this story.
The third link has a pretty good summary.
Basically, dad left kids in car (17 mos and 5 mos). CPS showed up. Released the kids to the mom, dad can't be alone with the kids until after he takes parenting classes. CPS came back a few days later and took the kids because mom is "bipolar" (her quotes, not mine) and they live in a hotel because they're relocating.
This followed by a bunch of schitty spelling, tons of !!!111!!!!11!! and proof that babycenter = teen mom casting room.

He left them in a car for almost an hour, on purpose!!
So much better than I could have done. Bravo.
Essentially Poster's husband decided to take a leisurely 52 minute stroll through the gun store while leave his two young kids in the car by themselves. Cops and fire show up and lose their shyt on him. For some reason he is not arrested. CPS gets involved, and now they are battling to get the kids back.
I am wondering how much this wackjob OP left out.
Jeez, that's fuucked up. What a disaster.
I saw a pretty good trainwreck on SO the other day now that I think about it.

We miss you and love you always, little firecrackers!
Let's also keep in mind she's pregnant, due in December, with their THIRD child and she's 21. Because, you know, "the trojanz don't work".
Yikes.
Also, just to add a tiny detail to the summary: the "mom" is pregnant again... YIKES.
Sorry Malibu: you beat me!
She had to have left out a lot right? I mean, what he did is terrible and I'd lose it on hm if I were her, but her story somehow doesn't add up. The way I read it, it's like she is saying they weren't removed because he left them in the car for an hour but because they found out she had a bipolar diagnosis at 13? That makes no sense.
My guess is this isn't the first time they've had a run-in with CPS.
And holy hell, how is she so unconcerned that her husband left a 17-month-old and a 5-month-old alone in a car for an hour? That's insane. It's not like they were 10 and 12 and wanted to play their DS while mom ran in the store to get a gallon of milk.

I just want to smash my face into the desk. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot-- sweet baby jesus this idiot is pregnant again?
Dude, babycenter is F*CKIN INSANE. I just found this gem on page 27 (I didn't actually read all the pages).
Posted 03/28/2012 You're not offending me. I disagree that screwing up means he should be kicked out and never see his kids again. Since he admits he was wrong and is willing to work on it, I think their marriage is worth working on and keeping the family together. When I hit my 3yo and called CPS on myself should I have been automatically thrown out and divorced and not allowed near my kids? I did a horrible thing and hurt my son. I immediately asked for help to get myself better so it would never happen again. Our family is together and stronger because we supported each other and went through it together. I don't think that divorcing him is the answer. B*TCHES BE CRAZY.
Yeah, I didn't read that whole trainwreck either. The one is like 20 pages and then there's a second thread spin-off that's in the double digits too. OMG.
Seriously, it reads like a script from Teen Mom. I skimmed to get a basic jist and got the fluck out of Dodge. I like my brain cells the way they are TYVM.

Holy Shytballs!
I have a feeling I will be bookmarking a lot of these threads and reading them later. They've got some seriously long ones full of people that I thought only existed on People of Walmart.
She has already revealed that she doesn't work at Walmart. Her company just has a contract through Walmart. Get it straight, Betty.
LMAO
I was very curious if this was real... it sadly is. Her FB profile is totally public and she linked to all the news stories because she's a huge AW.
Sadly, the kids are back with them.

This is from my town!
The best part (I thought) was when douche nozzle husband decided to give his side of the story to the local news. I couldn't believe he thought he could actually defend himself. He said that he didn't think he was in there that long. I'll see if I can find the interview...
This. Also I love the fact that she alluded somewhere in those bajilion pages that her husband is getting checked out for a mental disorder as if that makes it acceptable to leave babies in a hot car.
This woman makes me fear for our future.
Did they really give them back or are you just going ont he article? Because they did release them to the mum on the day of the incident but then 4 days later CPS took them.
I am interested to know because I am pretty darn sure that there must be more to the story than her bi-polar as a teenager issues. Maybe when CPS questioned other people at her home I mean motel they had noticed irratic behaviour. Honestly the amount of attention, media interviews and forums she has posted on leads me to think she has bigger psychological issues than what she has stated.
The kids had been in the car for 28 minutes (the gun store's video security system was quite thorough) when a passerby heard the kids screaming. He looked through the window and saw them sweating. It was a day in the 70's and the van was a dark color, so who knows how hot it was in there.
The guys came into the store and asked if the kids/van belonged to anyone in the store. The owner asked everyone in the store. Dad denied that the kids/car was his. ER crews arrived and freed the kids. Dad *finally* goes outside and claims the kids. Mom comes over 2 hours later - presumably from work.
"The Trojans don't work."
Lord... don't I know it! ::imoan looks at the kids jumping around her living room... oh wait....::
