How can you tell if you are going to lose a toenail?
One of mine seems a bit loose and it feels a little numb-ish. Does that mean I'm losing it and if so what do i do about it? Anything? i just came home from a 9 mile run, but I've run farther and never had a problem.

Re: How can you tell if you are going to lose a toenail?
I recently lost a toenail and prior to it falling off, I noticed the front part of it was lifted up more vertically than my other toenails normally are. How it started was during training I kept getting blisters on that one toe (the second one, next to the big toe) no blackness/bruising, so I kept clipping the nail shorter because it would get caught on stuff. I ran the Princess HM just over a month ago, and that was the only run where it was a little tender in conjunction with the deep blisters on the front of that toe.
I was on the phone with my sister the other day, mindlessly playing with it, when half of it lifted right off, so I continued to pull the rest of it off (no pain whatsoever, even though I was afraid there might be) and I discovered there was another tiny little nail growing in its place. It's about 2mm-3mm so far.
