Re: Part of Outer Banks is good w. Kids?
I would look in the towns of kitty hawk, duck, nags head... They all have lots of "stuff" going on ( restaurants, mini golf, stores, etc).
My parents have a vacation house on Hatteras island/cape hatteras national seadhore. It's beautiful there, but not quite as much going on for kids, etc.
If you're thinking spring vs high summer season I would say Kitty Hawk, Kill Devils Hills, Nags Head or north in Duck. The main highway that runs from Kitty Hawk to Nags Head has stuff that will be open year round.
Duck is more hit or miss in the off season, but is a really nice area. Plus it's very family oriented.
