I recently got bangs(ish) and am due for a bang trim. I've never needed one before.
How do they work? Do I make an appointment, or just show up at the salon (it is around the block so I walk by it often)? Do I go to my normal stylist, or anyone who is there? How long does it take? How much do I tip?
Thanks!

At my salon, bang trims are free. I always call to book an appointment so I know my stylist is available. It usually only takes her about 5 minutes to cut and style them.
Hope this helps!
That is a 40% tip on a bang trim which I think is a bit much. My stylist doesn't charge for the in between bang trim, but then I usually give her about $10. It doesn't hurt to walk in and see what their policies are about bangs. Who knows they may be able to fit you in or give you a time to come back. I wouldn't go to any one in the salon only the person who does my hair.
