Say what?  What are us heathens supposed to do today???  I'm already irritated that there aren't any open houses today.

Anything you can achieve through hard work, you could also just buy.
  • Crap. SO just went over there -- he completely forgot to buy an undershirt to wear under his dress shirt for Easter.

We celebrate Easter and did the egg hunt/church thing this morning.  We will be having a proper Easter dinner this evening.  That leaves about five hours in between during which time Target should be doing the good Christian thing and making itself available to me and everyone else for much-needed love and support.

  • It always is.  Trust me that it's a much appreciated break from all of their employees.  I never thought of it as Easter off, more so "Hooray!  I get a Sunday off!"

HA! This heathen never does open houses on religious holidays, no point in this area. And just a good excuse for me to take the day off :)

I'm on all you can eat healthcare since we are well over our $8400 deductible for the year... but I'm not sure a 102 fever and  sore throat is worthy of the ER :-)

  • Our next door liquor store was open for an early morning champagne run.  How could I have brunch without mimosas?

  • Sure, the stores can close on the holiday when Jesus is risen (which I'm fine with) but on the day when all of us are supposed to be thankful for all the important things in life, stores are open for us to trample each other to death.

Good thing Jesus wasn't crucified shortly before his birthday.

  • Our Walmart was open, but Sam's Club was closed. This confused me.

Ooooo, I hate when that happens.

  • Most of the chains were open earlier today. We went to the grocery store, Walgreens, and an emergency pull over into Walmart when ZB puked all over herself and her Easter outfit. :o/  Huzzah cheap Walmart clothes. I think that's the first time I've been in there in a couple of months.
A big old middle finger to you, stupid Nest.
  • I like this post. It reminds me of back when I was pregnant and on TB, that I was accused of being a terrible person because I said I intended on going to the movies on Thanksgiving and how it wasn't uncommon for my sisters and I to see a movie on Christmas. I also pointed out that we frequently are traveling on holidays from relative's homes and that it was convenient that gas stations and restaurants were open. I was met with a bunch of "ZOMG, don't you care about employees who have to work on the holiday!!!!!!" "You should plan your eating and fueling of your vehicle ahead of time so that these places don't need to be open!!!" It really was an insane bump moment. So whenever the "what are your plans on thanksgiving?" posts came up, I always took the opportunity to say that I would be at a movie or restaurant just to stir them up Angel
