Kid/Pet Easter parade?

Anyone break out the bonnets, bows, and pastel sweater vests? Is that a thing anymore? I remember getting a new pair of white ankle socks and lace gloves every year for easter as a kid.

Munchie would eat anything I tried to put on her so I settled for using an app to put ears on her.

Anyone else want to AW?

Re: Kid/Pet Easter parade?

  • We forgot our camera when we went to our family Easter GTG yesterday. I have one picture of Will and one OOTD picture of me. No pictures of Evie's cute spring dress.

We stopped at an Old Navy outlet in the middle of nowhere on the way home from Idaho and Will asked for the shoes and the pink shirt, which were both on sale, so I said sure, they can be your Easter outfit.

Not to be outdone by my preschooler, I picked all my own clothes too. I should pick out a full length mirror for home though, because I had no idea how wide this skirt made my bottom half look. I feel like it was better before the kick pleat flattened itself out after the car ride.

  • I like the plaid kicks.  I didn't get anything fancy for Ian -- the place we go with Fran's family is pretty casual, so he's going to wear a button-down shirt (which is fancy for him) and khakis.  I'll hopefully be able to get a picture, but he's wearing sweats and a t-shirt until we leave the house.
  • Noisy, I think you look fantastic. And Will is adorable.

  • No special passover outfits here.  Our seder was low key, my SIL came up from DC and we just made a pot roast.  MC didn't make it through the whole seder, but still had a surprisingly long attention span (esp. since she didn't nap!) and a huge appetite for gefilte fish.

  • We did a big family Easter egg hunt yesterday, but Ethan found one egg, realized there was candy in it, and sat down and started chowing down on jelly beans. He didn't care about putting eggs in his basket. He picked one up only when he was done eating what was in the one in his hand.

  • Allie's first Easter was a success. Tons of people came over to see her. Poor thing was so worn out by the end of the day. But she liked her candy.

  • I fail at pip. Here's a huge one.

  • Cute Eater outfits!

I didn't get a good picture of Ian.  He had a meltdown when we got to the restaurant, so Fran brought him to the gift shop to buy a new car (even though he had three new cars with him).  Here he is loading his goldfish crackers into the back of his new Chevy pickup at the table.  His shirt was from Target, and two other kids at the restaurant were wearing the same one.

  • I didn't manage to get a picture of RM in her official Easter dress and hat.  I'll have to put them back on her at some point, because it was insanely cute.  Here she is at our family egg hunt:

I also want to AW my Easter eggs.  We used ties from Goodwill to silkscreen them.  Our technique needs a little work to avoid bald spots, but I was pleased with this first attempt.

  • Lindsay -- I love that picture of you and Mucho on the swings!

Buddha -- I like your dress.  It's such a pretty color.

Noisy -- you look verrah nice!  Will must get his fashion sense from you.

All the kiddos are so cute!  I love to see them all dressed up and excited over plastic eggs full of candy.
