If your running route is a loop,
Do you try to vary the direction so you're not always running it exactly the same way?
I like my neghborhood loop. I go out, run up a long hill, then have a gentle coast downhill for about three quarters of a mile, before hitting hills again. Because we're in a small neighborhood, I just repeat the loop until I'm done most days (other routes take me along minor highways with no sidewalks). I like my direction - the long gentle downhill is fun to run and the hills are hard but quick.
Lately I've been wondering if I should be reversing direction every once in a while.
If you run a loop, do you always go the same way? Should I be alternating sometimes? thanks!

Ditto this. Although sometimes I'll turn around and back track at a certain point instead of completing the whole loop. Mostly though, I just run the same stinking route.
Yes - I reverse the loop so I never do the same direction two days in a row. I get bored with the same loop, so sometimes I mix in a few different streets for different scenery.
