First Date :)

So, since I posted for advice, I thought you guys would like to hear how my first date post divorce went.

We met at a bar for drinks. Got there about 9, and chatted the whole time!! Had a couple (not too drunk of course, just enough to relax). Lots of laughter and smiling.

We actually went back to his place after words to watch a movie, wanting to get out of the noisey bar. Decided to just drive his truck and leave mine at the bar. So cute! Perfect gentleman, opened doors for me, cuddled (innocently) and drove me back to my truck where we had a perfect first kiss.

Neither of us are looking for serious, just more so a friend to go out and have drinks with, cuddle...maybe down the line offer eachother a "benefits package" ;) but it was sooooo perfect and sweet.

Re: First Date :)

  • I'm glad you had a good time....but, it was really dumb for you to ride in his truck back to his house. You don't even know this man and thankfully, nothing bad happened to you. If things went bad once you got to his house, you were totally stuck and helpless.

I'm glad you had a good date.

There's one thing that bothers me, and I'm sorry to point this out, but I don't think going to his place on a first date was a good idea---no because of the possibility of sex, but for your safety......which kind of depends on how  you met him, which I don't know. Did you meet him online? Had you two been friends? Were you set up? I would never ever go home with or bring a guy home from a dating site before a few dates....you never know who they could be.

  • Oops. Sorry I forgot to specify how we met.

I occasionally DJ/Karaoke as a fill in at bars, I actually met him (sober both of us) at one of my shows. We've been talking awhile, and have just hung out at his place and a few other places, just was nervous about it cause of the "date" label.

  • Glad you had a good time but I agree with the pp's.  It wasn't smart to get into his car and go to his house on the first date.  Leave cars and houses for after you get to know someone.

    Are you seeing him again?

I hear your guys' point, not sure if you saw my update :)

We have tentative plans for this weekend, while DD is at her Daddy's.
