how long does the closing take?

Our appointment is scheduled for 4/20 at 10:00am and the bank's lawyers office. How long can we expect to be there "signing our life away"?

With our first closing we were there 2-2.5 hours hours as we read and asked some questions.

With our second closing that took place last month we were there about 1 hour. We had reviewed all the paperwork prior and just signed our names for 50 mins straight and then took 10 mins for them to make copies of all the papers.

This. We reviewed the paperwork before and were prepared to sign everything. It took a total of 1 hour.

I told our lawyer to expect to be with us for a minimum of 3 hours for our upcoming closing. I read every single word on every single piece of paper so I want everyone to be prepared to not have to pressure me to rush. I'm a lawyer also so nobody expected anything different from me.

our last one took an hour, and were glad to not have it drawn out. Hopefully the next ones will be as quick.

Good questions. Since we just went under contract I've been wondering this myself. I assumed we would be there at least an hour or more. Since this is our first home, I'm going to assume closer to two hours for us.
