Re: Random Poll
Drinking is generally frowned upon in elementary schools.
(We've got some pill heads, though. You didn't hear that from me.)
I picked I could have one because my company keeps it on hand
BUT, we are a beer/wine company. And we're not technically allowed to drink while on the clock with the exception of tastings and meetings (which happen almost weekly anyway). We can drink if we're off the clock though.
I was specifically told my first day that we can't drink on company paid lunches. but if I went out and had a glass fo wine at lunch, no one would really know.
Can't tell you how many times I desparately wanted to do tha at my last job. Definitely wouldn't want to show back up at a correctional facility after drinking though....
This job? I doubt anyone would know or really care.
We can go out on our lunches and have a beer, as long as you don't get hammered lol. We use to do it every Friday but they cut our lunches from an hour to half hour so there really isn't any time to go out.
There was one time our waitress was kind enough to spill my entire beer (and I even sprung for one of the big ones) on me during lunch, I smelled like beer the rest of the day, even had a meeting with my manager and no one said anything.
I could go out at lunch and get one, but we rarely go out. But it could be done.
At my last job some of H's family were in the city so they came for a visit and I went out to lunch with them and definitely had a glass of wine, or two? I was definitely a little tipsy when I got back, but it was a pretty quiet day so no one really noticed. But it was definitely a weird feeling being buzzed at work.
