Charleston, SC / Savannah GA
We are planning to go to this area Memorial Day weekend. How would the beaches in this area be that time of the year? Is it warm enough to get in the water. We normally only go to the Gulf so this would be a new experience for us.

For breakfast in Charleston, you must eat at Hominy Grill and Toast! Both are great.
I grew up on Tybee Island and live between there and Savannah, now. There is so much here to do. It really depends on what you are looking for. There are a few tour companies in Savannah who offer two day trolley tickets for between $10-15. You can get on and off the trolley at any designated stop for those two days. It is a great way to get a feel for the Historic District. There are a ton of other tours around town, as well. I recomend the Haunted Pub Crawl, Capt Mike's Dolphin Tour and the marsh tour with Sea Kayak GA.
