Re: IN Get Fit Challenge
I've been doing well on my cycling to work - have actually figured it out that I only have to bus in once a fortnight at the moment and that is to bring in my ironed shirts/tops for work. But I need to get a few more shirts to have this work long term!
Also started back to pilates 2 weeks ago with a reformer pilates class - scary looking but I am really enjoying it. Just have to get out for a walk in the evenings with N in the buggy to up the exercising.
Half way to my weightloss target, but haven't budged from that in the last 2 weeks... the snacks have snuck back in!!!
QOTW: Overall, I did ok... though there were a few easter eggs eaten! Otherwise, it was a normal weekend. Didn't do much exercise at all which I really should have done, though I did get a walk in the park on Sunday morning (swings, feed the ducks...) and we walked to the shops on Sunday evening (45 round trip)
Loose twenty pounds? That sure was a cute goal. I really should get back on that.
I've been maintaining for the most part. Unfortunately, socializing here means heading to the bars. I need to:
1. Learn how to choose the "healthiest" drink options.
2. Learn how to ignore the delicious snack food/tapas occasionally offered with drinks here.
3. Walk more.
QOTW: We did nothing really special, except I played DD for DH and his cousin on a trip to his grandpa's town. They went to drink wine, and we had snack foods instead of a proper meal. Even though I was the only one not drinking, I had the worst stomachache after.
I ran 5km this morning after an almost two week break, it felt so good!
I need to work on abdominal exercises more.
QOTW: We didn't do an Easter meal, so eating was as usual, I did go out 3 nights in a row and consumed too much wine.
Glad to see this post!
I'm doing well. More running than lifting lately as school/work etc. means less time but it's all good. I hit the 40lb weight loss mark. My new favourite hobby is trying on size 10s and most fit. I still have to find a nice top for my birthday this weekend though and keep on track to lose some of the resistant flab (about 10lbs) by the summer.
QOTW: We don't really do much for Easter so we got some yummy baklava from a newly discovered multi-cultural food store.
Ugh. In between two bouts of gastro and a cold over the past month, I have done nothing exercise related. I have, however, greatly increased my fluid intake and cut back on fatty foods. My tummy looks nice and flat, but I'm pretty sure that is due to the stomach bug diet and will be back to normal in a few weeks
QOTW: I didn't do too poorly. Since I've still been a bit queasy, I didn't over eat on anything. I do have a lot of chocolate bunnies lying around the house now though!
I'd like to join! My goal would be finish the Couch25K program by first week in June and tone up.
"I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels." -Isaiah 61:10 NKJV
Ahh.. I have been terrible lately!! Between DH and I losing our jobs suddenly (and finding out that we may have to move back to North America with extremely short notice) and then suddenly getting rehired to work in similar-yet-different circumstance (thankfully in the same country), I got a little behind on my goals.... now I have a lot of catch up to do!!
Thanks for sending this out!
