S/O Coffee - do you have a Keurig? A Poll.
If so, what is your favorite Keurig K-cup?
What kind do you want to try?
Do you stock-up on any seasonal flavors?
Where do you buy your K-cups?
Do you have the My K-cup or other filter where you can use your own coffee? If so, what kind of filter and what grind of coffee do you use?
Have you tried the new K-cup Vue? If so, do you like it and is it worth the switch?
Did you know that on Keurig.com right now you can get $6 off of 4 boxes with code TAXPREP through 4-15?
Re: S/O Coffee - do you have a Keurig? A Poll.
If so, what is your favorite Keurig K-cup? We typically don't buy k-cups, we try to be frugal and use the reusable my k-cup and buy our own bag coffee. I really like the GM vanilla carmel creme though when I do get some!
Where do you buy your K-cups? I've only bought them once - from the Keurig website. If you register your brewer you get 2 boxes free when you buy 2 boxes.
Do you have the My K-cup or other filter where you can use your own coffee? If so, what kind of filter and what grind of coffee do you use? Yes - see above. I usually buy Gevelia coffee or we buy whatever is on sale at the grocery store.
Have you tried the new K-cup Vue? If so, do you like it and is it worth the switch? No - what is this??
The Keurig works well in our apt because we both like drastically different coffees and we both only drink 1 (maybe 2) cups at most. I really like the cheaper option of buying our own coffee though and filling the my k-cup.
If so, what is your favorite Keurig K-cup? Green Mountain Nantucket Blend
What kind do you want to try? There are so many. I recently tried German Chocolate Cake and liked it enough to buy a full box.
Do you stock-up on any seasonal flavors? Yes. Timothy's Sugar Bush Maple, Green Mountain's Golden French Toast and Timothy's Winter Carnival.
Where do you buy your K-cups? I buy the mostly off of Keurig.com. Sometimes I'll pick up a box at the grocery store or BB&B.
Do you have the My K-cup or other filter where you can use your own coffee? If so, what kind of filter and what grind of coffee do you use? I have the My K-Cup, Solofill Cup and the Eco Cup. I'm not impressed with any of them and hope to get advice in this thread as to the best grind and way to use them.
Have you tried the new K-cup Vue? If so, do you like it and is it worth the switch? I have not tried it but hope to maybe upgrade to it when my current Keurig dies (which may be soon because I've had nothing but issues with my Keurigs...this is my 3rd one).
Did you know that on Keurig.com right now you can get $6 off of 4 boxes with code TAXPREP through 4-15? I do and I am going to be ordering 4 boxes!
1. My favorite K-cup is the Green Mountain Colombian Fair Trade Select
2. I want to try the apple cider one or something from Caribou
3. I love Green Mountain Pumpkin Spice.
4. Bed, Bath & Beyond with the eternal 20% off coupon or at the grocery store if I'm desperate.
5. Yes, I actually have TWO My K-Cups (mom bought me one when she was here and our neighbors gave us one). We usually put Rocky Mountain Thunder by Boyer's that my mom buys specifically for H in Colorado in the My K-Cups.
6. What's the Vue?
7. THANK YOU!

This is the Keurig Vue:

You can brew a bigger, stronger cup of coffee and it brews hotter. You can also do a two step cup with a milk cup and it froths the milk in the brewer. I'm not sure if I'm entirely sold on this idea, but I like the idea of making a bigger cup that is strong. I always brew my Keurig on the 6 oz size because any bigger and it's too weak for me. I have the Platinum Keurig that has all the way up to a 12 oz travel mug size, but I never use it because it tastes terrible.

I used to get the Nantucket Blend at Sam's, but they now only have Starbucks, Caribou and Folgers.
We bought a Keurig since we don't drink more than 2 - 3 cups in the morning. For some reason this made more sense than figuring out how to make the right volume of coffee in our old regular coffeemaker. *shrug*
We get Newman's Own at BJ's. It's about $40 for 80 kcups. I recently bought a few 24 pks of different decaf ones from keurig.com. Donut House, Barista Italian, and the Newman's Own. I have yet to find a flavored coffee I enjoy. There's a German Choc Cake one and a Frosted Choc Donut one that both smell delicious, but I think they taste like azz.
We have the My K-cup, but don't use it too often since it gets water everydamnwhere. We've tried adjusting the gasket on the punch and that works ok, but it's still messy.
The Timothy's German Chocolate Cake one is really good. I just recently tried it and then ordered a whole box. If it's the Chocolate Glazed Donut one I've tried that you're talking about, yes, it's nasty!
Funny story about my Keurig...
My dad has a rule that no f-bombs be dropped in his house. Yes, I think it's dumb but whatevs, it's his house. I do not have the same rule in my house. My family was at my place for Thanksgiving and we did something that pissed my dad off and he dropped the f-bomb. He felt so bad that the next day he showed up with a Keurig for me as an apology.
I told him he can drop the f-bomb in my house daily if it means he brings me presents each time!
Oh man, I wish I got presents in exchange for f-bombs!
I am lazy and not answering the poll the right way. For a reusable filter, I have the Solofill but I requested the EkoBrew...I like the Solofill fine but might try EkoBrew or another one.
I use the Nantucket Blend k-cups on a special occasion or when I am in a huge hurry, otherwise I grind my own at Trader Joe's and use the Solofill. I'd say for every 8-10 Solofill cups, I do one k-cup. I'm cheap!
BBE...we may have had this conversation before about the Solofill, but what grind do you use? I cannot get a good cup of coffee from any of the filters and I have three different filters. What brew size do you use? How far do you fill the filter?
For my Nantucket blend I use the 6 oz size brew. Which do you use for that cup? That way I can get an idea if we like the same strength of coffee so I can figure out how much to use in the Solofill.
Yes. And I don't drink coffee.
