Math lovers and creative types, come in :-)

Since y'all are such excellent brainstormers, help me out with this one, too.

I'm working on a Jeopardy game for Math Club. My categories are things like fractions, money, rounding, geometry, shapes, analogies, estimation, symmetry, word problems. I'd like more creative category names, though. Any ideas? Even if you can think of something "mathy" but it doesn't work with one of these categories, I can change the questions.

Re: Math lovers and creative types, come in :-)

  • They're not particularly clever, and a few of them may be a stretch, but...Parts of a Whole, Show Me the Money, The Next Best Thing (rounding), Angles in the Outfield (not sure how well rounded your math club students are, but since it's baseball season, it could be fun to give one a baseball theme), Let's Talk It Out (word problems)...that's all I got.

  •  I'm terrible at math but I'm good at thinking of creative names.  Here's a couple: Me, Myself and i.  (for equations)   Put Your Money Where Mouth Is Gee-I'm-A-Tree (geometry)Sum It UpFor a Good Prime Call: (enter a prime phone number)Easy as Pi  I google to get some ideas and this is not appropriate but funny:The mathematician didn't practice safe six and ended up with a binarial disease.
  • Overrated:  Square Root of -1 over 8. (for fractions)
