Allegiant Air Question

I realize that airfares are very unpredictable... but in your experience, once a fare has increased on Allegiant, is it ever likely to go down again? We're planning a Vegas trip in October and so I've just started watching prices. Last week I saw a pretty good deal, but it has since doubled in price. Just wondering if it's a lost cause ha!

Thanks for the tips, ladies. Guess I won't give up yet - although it's going to have to be a really good price now to make up for that carry-on fee! I honestly don't see what the allure of flying a "discount" airline is anymore when their fares are actually higher than other airlines and they have more upcharges...
