Is it worth it or a waste of money?
I'm in the process of booking a Disney Cruise for DD and I and to add the insurance on is an approx. 200.00. As you know the price for the cruise itself is already expensive so if I would rather avoid this if possible.
The agent is telling me it covers baggage, trip cancellation/interruption and medical expenses.
What is your opinion?

Re: Trip Insurance
my opinion on ANY type is to know the terms, limits, conditions, exclusions, coverages.
insuremytrip.com is an excellent source for quotes. it's an aggregator site that will list available policies based on the trip info you input. it will also allow you to read the coverage/exclusions etc..r ather than have someone give you a general coverage list.
imo-i get trip insurance if the cancellation or rebooking is a pita or will cost me a ton. if they have a good cancellation plan you may not need it but is that covearge only for the cruise? what about the airfare? hotel? just too many variables to tell you if it's worth it or not.
I haven't purchased it, but really considered it for our cruise last year.
Last month, Princess had to cancel a cruise after the ship had some damage. It probably would have been easier for those passengers to get their airfare, etc. back if they had the insurance.
Just an FYI - you can drop/add Disneys insurance up until 75 days prior to the cruise (when the full payment is due)
I want to get medical and medevac coverage for a cruise, I have looked at insuremytrip and there are extreme price differences. Do you read each policy to make sure if covers what you need? I mostly care about the medevac part and it appears that some of the <$20 plans cover medevac but it just seems so cheap that there has to be a catch (I will admit that I have not read the individual policy information). I tried reading reviews but everyone rates it good but they also never had to use it.
