Contact with my new boss
So, I was offered that job and filled out paperwork, right? In the interim I wrote my future principal an email just checking in to let him now where I stood on getting my fingerprints done, etc. Also asked if there was anything else he needed from me. I also thought I would ask if it were possible (without breaching confidentiality) for me to get some more info on the student I would be working with so I could prepare ahead of time. That was over a week ago.
No response. Ok, maybe he's busy. Maybe that's his way of saying he needs nothing from me and that he can't send along any info. Still would be nice to get some sort of response though.
I am supposed to start next Monday.....have no clue what time I am supposed to report. Left him a voice mail message yesterday.
No response. Yes, I know it's only been 24 hours since I left the message but all I can think is ..... I am supposed to start next Monday. Where is the communication? Heck, it doesn't even have to be him. Maybe the case manager? Someone?
Is it me or would others be wondering what the heck was going on at this point? I thought they wanted to some for this position like yesterday.

Is the school on spring break right now?
Who did you submit your paperwork to? If you don't hear back from the principal by COB tomorrow, I'd email your contact, ask about your start time on Monday, and ask for confirmation of the principal's contact information as you emailed him with no reply.
Don't sweat it. Your email could have gone into a spam filter or something!

I absolutely understand your frustration with his lack of replies and I'd be concerned if this situation was happening to me - but sometimes the most likely scenario isn't the most negative one (which is usually where my mind goes first!)
I hope he returns your call tomorrow!
Thanks guys...I will wait until tomorrow afternoon to see what happens; however, I was also hoping to hear from more educators/administrators that may have experienced this or can see the other side of things....Irish? Tef?
