I've decided that I want to find out this time around but Lance still doesn't want to know. He told me when we were pregnant with Wyatt that if we found out, I would be allowed to choose what we did for the second baby. Fast forward to now, he has told me that he absolutely doesn't want to know, and that he will give the tech consent to tell me, but doesn't want me to tell him (or anyone else).
We just finished talking about it, and I told him that if I find out, he is finding out too. There is no way I'm going to find out just to keep it to myself for the next 4.5 months. He isn't happy about it, but told me that if it means so much to me, just do whatever I want (way to be excited, right?).
I have a feeling that once we know, he'll be excited to know and glad we found out, but as of right now he is sulking and being cranky about the whole thing.

I even remember him telling you that the 2nd time around you got to chose! You were patient and did what he wante the first time. I say you both find out and he'll deal with it. I think you're right that he'll be happy to know once he does.

What are you looking at?
Cant help but agree with this! If you want to find out I say find out!
I've told you before that I really do think it's still a "surprise" whether you find out when it's born or in the ultrasound room. You still are finding out something that you didn't know before. I also think it's BS that people say you ruin the surprise for the birth. You still have no idea what your baby will look like and I think that's a great surprise too (it's like double surprise in my opinion once for the sex and once for the birth). I also think that wanting to know what he/she looks like is enough incentive to push the baby out for the people who say that not knowing the sex does that (insert side eye here).
Now that I know that you guys had the deal where you didn't find out last time and you get to choose this time I say DO IT DO IT DO IT!!!
Amen!
Thanks girls
Maria, I completely agree with you, one of my close friends IRL pointed that out to me this afternoon too.
I made him think of it the same way I did last time deciding not to find out. I figured then that it meant more to him to not find out than it did for me to find out... so I switched the logic around on him and he agreed to find out (and to be happy about it... or at least not to b!tch about it).
About a month back, onesies were on sale at winners and I bought a set for both boys and girls assuming that I would just gift the one that we didn't need. But instead, tomorrow I'm going to get the tech to put the result in an envelope, and take it to my BFF who will put the appropriate onesie in a gift bag that we'll open at dinner. I'm going to record the whole thing, so the results will be on facebook/youtube tomorrow night! I am so excited!
What if you found out at the u/s and then you did something fun and special justfor Lance to tell him what the gender is?
I'm all for not finding out though!!! Not to side with Lance, just because I loved not knowing!
This is so exciting!!!!! I love how you are going to do it. It actually made me tear up I love it.

I love this! Can't wait to hear how it went!
That is a cute way to find out! Can't wait to see which onesie you open!
