Going to Chicago this weekend, and wanted to know if you can recommend some great dim sum locations?
TIA
Re: Best dim sum in Chicago?
Phoenix - That's where I tend to take folks when I host my culinary tours of Chinatown. It has the traditional ambiance with the rolling carts. However, if you go, your best bet is to go early either on Saturday or Sunday around 9am. They don't take reservations and lines get really long around 10/11am with wait times up to 45min-1+hour.
However if I were going to enjoy dim sum with family/friends, I wouldn't go to Phoenix since it's pretty touristy. I'd go to Shui Wah. Ming Hin Cuisine, or Furama. These are less touristy, more authentic without the "show" and quality/price is much better.
Have fun in Chicago this weekend!
