Bobby Petrino, what a jerkface.
I cannot believe that the Saints are standing by Sean Payton.
Re: Football anyone?
I want to go down to Arkansas just to point and laugh at Bobby Petrino. Is that bad?
The Saints not firing Sean Payton leads me to believe that 1. Upper management knew full well what they were doing and either kept their mouths shut (best case) or encouraged it (worst case) and 2. Payton may have threatened to go to Goodell and the media with any and all dirt he has on the organization. Either way, things are going to get real interesting.
Petrino is such an assmonkey. He was an assmonkey when he was in Louisville and is still one.
I've always thought he was a slimy bastard.
In fairness Bobby Petrino has been a slime ball that keeps getting hired, so I guess they got what they paid for
I am picking up what you are putting down Lori, there is no way a team would drift afloat for a whole season when there are great coaches out there to be had. I agree that SP has something over someone.
I'm betting the latter. Payton's definitely got some dirt and they are just leveraging each other at this point.
I've had a bad feeling about SP ever since I saw the interview he did after getting hurt on the sidelines. He talked about how when a player is injured and can't play he (SP) and/or another player puts a china doll in the injured player's locker, to indicate that the player is fragile (and in my mind, like a girl - too delicate to play football). The misogyny in that annoyed me.
Edited to fix some grammatical issues.
I'm with OSULori. Something smells fishy about the SP deal. Why wouldn't they fire him? like, to make a strong stand as an organization etc, why not fire a coach who has been involved, however minimally, with the bounty program? Say "this is who we are, and we do not condone this, regardless of SuperBowl wins and everything else." I dont want to compare this to Joe Paterno and PSU but Penn State took that stance and fired one of (if not the) most legendary figures in college football, at least in terms of coaches. So I definitely have my tinfoil hat on here and think that something more is going on - and Sean Payton knows a lot more than he is telling right now.
And quite ironic as well. You know since he basically was ok with kicking theshit out of other players for money
I thought he might be able to survive this, but when I read that he'd lied to the U of A's chancellor about Dorrell being with him in the accident and that she'd been having an affair with him prior to being hired by the Razorback foundation, he was done. Oh, that, and he supposedly gave her $20,000 but he won't explain what that was for. God, why can't men keep it in their pants?
