EOS egg-shaped lip balm hype?
I received some of these as a gift for Easter. I opened the Lemon Drop and have used it the past two days. I'm not sure if I'm missing something about why these are so loved. I feel like I have to use a lot and re-apply often to get real hydration. It almost feels too slick on my lips? Maybe I'd like one of the other "flavors" better.
And I find the shape really awkward. Lol, I feel really silly rubbing this huge thing on my lips!
What are your thoughts on these?

Re: EOS egg-shaped lip balm hype?
I'm on the fence.
I get really bad chapped lips and find if I use the same thing for too long, it loses effectiveness. So, EOS was my most recent replacement. I don't find it bad, at all, but also not amazing. But since nothing seems to be amazing lately and my lips are always chapped, I'll stick with it.
I LOVE the container because I find it easier to find in the depths of my purse. Colourful and oddly shaped, I guess.
I just got mint - I like that much better than the 'summer fruit' one which I just find so strongly scented. I can't drink or eat anything when wearing it.
Thumbs down.
I have the red one. I bought it on a whim at the pharmacy.
I really wish I hadn't.
Totally. As I was posting above, I grabbed it because it was beside me and my lips were dry (power of suggestion!) and get irritated all over again because it's so strong. I could have reached one foot further for my purse and gotten on the mint one. I need to just throw it out.
The lemon one, with sunscreen, is the only lip balm w/ chapstick that I like! Most either leave a horrid taste, white lips, or feel dry..but this one goes on nicely and feels like it moisturizes a little while actually being sunscreen for my lips.
The other ones...eh. I bought a few and I don't love them but I don't hate them. They're about equal to regular Chapstick brand to me.
my little sis LOVES these, but i don't get them either.
my current obsession is old-school chapstick in the new green apple flavor.
My Shopping Blog
I loved them at first, and then after about a week my lips broke out and were completely burned overnight. It took about a week for them to get back to normal. I stay away from them now!
I guess I'm in the minority here, but I really liked them. Especially for the cost. I have the strawberry one and I really like the smell and there is no taste that bothers me. Something that's similar, but more expensive is the Fresh chapstick. However, that's $22 and that's not something I feel like shelling out cash for frequently.
Some people are mentioning the Kiehl's chapstick. Is that the one in the tube? I have the mango and coconut (love the smell) but I feel like it lasts for 5 minutes. Is there a different one that's better?
