Hi ladies,
DH and I are headed to Portugal later this year (early September) and I am extremely interested in attending a football match when we're in Lisbon. I was wondering if any of you have ever been to one there. If so, did you buy tickets ahead of time or when you were already in Portugal? I've only attended one European football match (Real Betis!) when I studied in Sevilla but loved the experience and thought it would be cool to attend another one.
Thanks in advance!
Re: Lisbon football game?
I read about Portugal's pousada program on my last flight and thought it would be something I'd love to check out for a future trip:

Benifica is the only club on this page that I've ever heard of (must play in Euro Champions League) but I have no idea what it would be like to get tickets. I do know that a lot of English premier league clubs sell out for entire seasons to their regular fan base so you'd have to purchase tickets from a ticketholder, generally.

You should also enquire on the IN board.
