Did we get a Starlet kitty update?
Re: Did we get a Starlet kitty update?
They're terrors! I love them, but they literally get have gotten into everything. They run across the pipes/ductwork that's along the ceiling in our basement (it's partially finished and that's where they've been living), they tore apart Christmas wreaths that I have stored down there, and play in the litter boxes so litter is everywhere!
Samson and Delilah love us, but Teddy still won't let us pet him. He will play though, and eat treats out of our hands, so I'm still hoping he'll come around.
Samson loves to come out of the basement, but we want to get him a vibrating collar before we let him stay out unsupervised (since he's deaf, we have to have a way to wake him up/find him). Delilah is scared of the rest of the house, but has come up a few times to check it out.
I need to take them to the vet....I think they have ear mites...but I don't know how to get Teddy in a crate, if we can't get close to him!
Overall though, it's been really great having them and I definitely feel like it's helped me through losing Winky.
they sound like fun! kittens are terrors. my cat lola got into the duct work of our house when she was little. one day i came home and she was a different color. h said the register was off the floor vent. we have reddish clay around our house and she is light colored so we realized she had crawled in there. what a kook! but definitely get the ear mites checked out. they look like coffee grounds and if they are itching a lot that's definitely a sign. only problem is you'll have to give them ear drops and that might be hard with teddy. good luck!
