Estimated Time Commitment

I volunteer for a local industry organization and am slowly quitting it b/c there are too many nasty undercurrents b/w members. I don't need the drama in my life. They are deciding whether to place someone on payroll to do alot of the things I have been doing.   They asked me to estimate how much time I spend per week. They put me on the spot with this question.  I said 10 hours and they were in shock it was so much, which made me doubt myself.  They figured it was 1-2 hrs/wk.  For about 3 months, I devote 10-15 hours/wk.  Other months range from 3-8 hours/wk.  The one person who is asking has a reputation of being a back-stabbing b!tch so I am concerning about saying it might be a little less time per week.  Should I sit down and really analyze how many hours I spend or just leave it alone?

Re: Estimated Time Commitment

  • I would tell them the fluctuation from time to time. And I wouldn't stress over it.
