LOL, this is what I was thinking. I can just imagine myself getting all uptight about beer on my shoes. Ha ha.
OP, I guess it depends on the type of bar it is (not just college, but if it's a dive bar). If it's a dive bar, I'd wear jeans and a shirt you don't care about getting spilled on (assuming it will be crowded and people might be squeezing by you with drinks and whatever). Same goes for the shoes.
This! I live in a college town, that's pretty much the norm.
Ha, wow, styles certainly differ by locale. Bright colored cocktail dresses and sky high heels are the norms in college bars here. Only if you're over 30 do you dare wear jeans, even then you'd better be in heels, a sequined or silky top, with a blazer over top, and great earrings...so that's my rec.
