Losing the inner thigh!!

I have pretty toned thighs but I have very big thighs and I would like to get rid of my inner thigh....I have no gap :( Suggestions?

Re: Losing the inner thigh!!

  • Not everyone has space between their thighs, you know. A lot of it has to do with genetics and body shape.

The only way to lose fat in one area is to lose fat overall -- you can't choose where it shrinks first.

    This.

It really sucks when you have a spot on your  body that holds onto fat but you just have to keep working. I loose weight in my stomach first and after that is flat I will start losing in my hips/thighs. Its annoying but its how my body is and its more motivation to stay in shape!

This is me exactly. I appreciate my flat stomach, but my thighs would like to share in it a little too! lol

  • You can keep burning fat overall, but unfortunately you can't spot reduce. Some people are just built that way, you know, so there might not be much you can do!

Its really annoying! And to the OP..I gained 15lbs after a car accident in late October (costochondrial separation and bruised ribs) and could not resume exercise until January. I have lost 10lbs (my stomache & arms look awesome) but I'm still struggling with the last bit of weight in my damn thighs/hips,

Know your body is strong and is holding on to fat where it is genetically predisposed to hold on to it.

  • I've been thin my whole life, fit for most of it, and I primarily gain weight in my stomach, and my thighs have always touched.  I really don't think it's that common to have space between your thighs.
  • To be honest I think it just has to do with genetics and how your legs are attached to your body.  I have muscular legs and my thighs have never touched.
