A mere day after Secretary of State Hillary "Hillz" Clinton herself contributed a submission to the popular Single-Topic Tumblr Texts From Hillary, the duo behind the Internet sensation have called it quits.
"As far as memes go ? it has gone as far as it can go," Adam Smith and Stacy Lambe wrote in a farewell post on the site. "Is it really possible to top a submission from the Secretary herself? No. But then when you get to text with her in real life ? it's just over. At least for us. But we have no doubt it will live on with all of you on the Internet."
Meme creators shutting down their own memes before they become lame should be a meme.
