recommend a moving company?

I'm going to be moving across the country soon and would love some reviews on different moving trucks and companies, especially if you have personal experience with them. TIA!!!

Check out www.movingscam.com for reviews by state and lots of great general moving tips. It was a big help to me when we moved cross-country.
We hired Mayflower but at some point our stuff got shifted to a United truck as that's who ended up delivering on the other end. No complaints at all, went very smoothly and nothing was broken or missing.
We used Door to Door. We paid $2100 for two pods, which held our couch, loveseat, coffee table, two bookshelves, hutch, bar, dresser, bed frame, mattress, 2 rugs, several mirrors and pictures and 20-30 boxes (a one bedroom apt minus our dining room set). They dropped off the pods at a set time in Chicago, waited two hours for our movers to load (we paid then $200) and then 12 days later they arrived in San Francisco (it took longer because it was over Christmas and NYE) and then we paid another set of movers $200 there.
The whole process was seamless, the staff was great, our stuff arrived fine, and it was so much cheaper than any other option we found. Pods was $4000 and other moving companies were even more.
